Prayer Mount Fellowship began in the heart of Pastor Rick Turner about six years ago.  At that time, he did not know the name, where or when the church would be; the Lord was simply preparing him for what was ahead.

 

In the spring of 2008, that desire in his heart began to grow.  The number 8 in Biblical terms denotes a new beginning, so 2008 was to be a year of “new beginnings”.  He cried out to God asking for his “new beginning”.  The Lord spoke to him and said He would tell him on 8/8/08 – a “NEW BEGINNING”!  The Lord indeed did speak, and the call to begin this church was given.

 

Over the months since, Pastor Rick has spoken with people and asked them to pray about joining him in this “new beginning”.  He asked for the date to start, and felt the Lord said January 25, 2009.  The “new beginning” is birthed in the 8th year as a vision, and comes to fruition in the 9th year.  On November 17, 2008, Pastor Rick invited a group of people to attend a “vision” meeting to announce the church.  In December 2008, the Lord gave the name of the church through Isaiah 56:7.  On January 25, 2009, Prayer Mount Fellowship was birthed.
